The Rasmussen family — Curtis, Staci, and their children

The Rasmussen family · Davis County, Utah

A family firm, in the truest sense

Built around the same thing our clients are building — a life that matters.

Curtis and Staci have raised their family in Davis County for more than two decades. The firm grew the same way — slowly, carefully, around the people they came to care about most. That's still how it runs today.

When you sit down with us, you're not meeting a representative. You're meeting the people who'll know your name, your kids' names, and the long arc of what you're trying to build.

Meet Curtis Rasmussen

He chose family. Then he built a firm the same way.

Curtis grew up on a farm in southern Alberta, Canada — the kind of upbringing that builds a work ethic before you're old enough to name it. He carried that into Utah, earning his Accounting degree from Utah State University and his Master's in Professional Accountancy (Taxation) from Weber State University.

He spent the next six years on the road, implementing financial systems for Fortune 500 companies. The work was good. The travel was constant. And one day, the math stopped working.

He chose family over constant travel. He came home. And he built a firm where relationships matter more than transactions.

Today, Curtis is licensed in Utah and Nevada and has spent more than two decades helping everyone from young families to multi-million-dollar companies grow wealth, reduce taxes, and make smarter long-term decisions.

Around the office, there's a running joke that Curtis sometimes runs behind schedule — because he spends too much time catching up with clients. He wouldn't change it. Neither would they.

Our philosophy

Relationships first.
Numbers second.

Accounting isn't really about forms. It's about helping people raise their families, grow their businesses, retire on their terms, build wealth, and pass something meaningful on to the people who come next.

The tax return is just where the conversation starts.

Raise families

Plan for the costs and choices that shape a family — patiently, over decades.

Grow businesses

Make the next decision with clear numbers and a steady advisor at the table.

Retire well

Turn a working life into a financial foundation that holds up under any market.

Build wealth

Compound smart decisions year after year — not just at tax time.

Protect futures

Coordinate the legal, financial, and tax pieces so nothing slips through.

Honor a legacy

Pass on what you've built — to family, to a successor, to a community.

Our team

You're not hiring one CPA. You're gaining a whole team that cares.

Eleven people who answer the phone, know your file, remember your kids' names, and treat your business like it's their own.

Who we serve

Built for families. Trusted by businesses.

The same relationship-first philosophy shapes every engagement — whether it's a young family filing their first joint return or a third-generation business navigating succession.

Families

Tax preparation, planning, and the conversations that come with kids, college, homes, and the years in between.

Entrepreneurs

Entity setup, first hires, and the financial foundation that turns an idea into something real.

Family-Owned Businesses

Multi-generational planning, succession, and the quiet work of keeping a legacy intact.

Growing Companies

Strategic guidance as your team, complexity, and revenue scale — without the finances falling behind.

Established Businesses

Tax strategy, advisory, and long-term planning for owners thinking ten and twenty years out.

Professionals

Physicians, attorneys, and high-earning professionals optimizing tax, retirement, and wealth strategy.

What we do

Tax strategy.  Business growth.  A financial future you can actually plan on.

Curtis has spent decades helping everyone from family businesses to multi-million-dollar companies grow wealth and improve quality of life. Here's how that work breaks down.

01

Keep More of What You Earn

Year-round tax strategy that protects the income you've worked for — and turns smart planning into real, lasting savings.

Tax Strategy

Proactive, year-round planning built around your business, your family, and the decisions still ahead of you.

Tax Preparation

Federal, state, and multi-state returns prepared with the same care we'd give our own family.

IRS Representation

A steady, experienced voice on your side if a letter, audit, or notice ever shows up in the mail.

02

Build a Stronger Business

From a first hire to a multi-million-dollar operation — clear financials and steady counsel for the long climb.

Business Advisory

A trusted seat at the table when the next decision matters more than the last quarter's report.

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Clean, current books so you always know where the business stands — and where it's going.

Payroll

Reliable payroll runs, tax filings, and year-end paperwork handled quietly in the background.

Entity Planning

S-corp, LLC, partnership — the right structure for how your business actually operates today.

03

Protect Your Future

Long-term financial guidance for the life you're building — and for the generation that comes after you.

Retirement Planning

Strategy that turns a successful business into a successful life after the business.

Estate Planning Support

Coordinated work with your attorney so what you've built is passed on the way you intend.

Business Succession

Quiet, careful planning for the day the next generation — or the next owner — steps in.

Long-Term Financial Guidance

A steady advisor who's still here in twenty years, when the next chapter begins.

Davis County · Northern Utah

Proud to call Davis County home.

Curtis and Staci have raised their family here for more than twenty years. The firm grew up alongside the community — from a small practice into a team that serves families and businesses across Kaysville, Farmington, Layton, Ogden, and the surrounding valleys.

The Wasatch on one side. Antelope Island and the Great Salt Lake on the other. Family neighborhoods, local businesses, and people who still know each other by name in between. It's the kind of place worth building a life around — and the kind of clients worth building a firm around.

Why clients stay

Many of our clients have been with us for decades.

Not because of a contract. Because of the relationship. Here's what they tell us keeps them around.

  • Relationships

You'll talk to the same people year after year. We remember.

  • Accessibility

Real phone numbers. Real responses. Real people who pick up.

  • Responsiveness

Quick answers when something matters — not three weeks later.

  • Expertise

Decades of tax, business, and advisory work, quietly applied.

  • Friendship

Clients become friends. That's the whole point of the practice.

  • Community

We live here, raise our families here, and shop the same local businesses.

  • Long-term trust

Twenty-year client relationships aren't rare around here. They're the norm.

Start a conversation

The financial partner you'll still trust twenty years from now.

Whether you're a young family filing your first return, a business owner planning for the next chapter, or somewhere in between — the easiest way to know if we're the right fit is to sit down and talk.
